Spring Break Missions Trips

NGM has two short term missions (STM) trips from March 6-17, 2012. One of the teams is going to New York City to work with NYSUM, a school and ministry center in urban NYC. The other team is going to the Dominican Republic to help with a children feeding program, work on some building projects, and build awareness of the poverty of the Haitian people within the Dominican Republic.

History Maker 2012: May 18-20

The best weekend of your life will be on May 18-20, 2012 at History Maker. It is a conference where 3500+ students and young adults gather in Abbotsford. It is about the discipleship journey that you are in.

Big White Fridays: Start Jan 27

Snowboarders for Christ (SfC) Kelowna aims at reaching out to the youth snowriding community. In partnership with Emmanuel Church, they are taking kids up to Big White on Friday nights for 10 buck Fridays.

The system is pretty basic. Kids know to meet at Royal LePage Skating Rink at 3:30 pm to meet up with SfC for 4:00 pm. The bus ride up to the mountain is a perfect time to share testimonies and what SfC is all about. Also while up on the hill, the leaders ride, play games, give lessons, and build relationships with the kids. Many of the SfC leaders are youth leaders as well, and this also gives another opportunity to reach out to the kids.

We ask all parents to pick up their teens at Emmanuel Church at 10:45 pm.

The cost is $7 for transportation ($2 for EC and $5 for SfC) and $10 for the Big White lift ticket. Equipment rental is an additional $10, if needed.

Parents: 2012 Consent/Parent Release Form need to completed before your teen is allowed to participate in this program/event.

Year End All-Nighter: Dec 16

When:  Wed, Dec 16 at 7:00 pm
Where: Evangel Church
            (3261 Gordon Drive, Kelowna BC)

One of the greatest and biggest events of the year is the Year-End All-Nighter on December 16-17, 2011.

The cost is only $25 per person before December 11 (after this, the cost goes to $35) and includes everything:

• H20 Water Park
• Bowling
• Energyplex
• Lockin events at Evangel Church
• All food including pizza, snacks, and even breakfast

Get your tickets by December 11 to ensure your spot at the cheaper price.

Mission Impossible Fall Retreat: Oct 21-22
