2011 Annual Reports for Ministry in 2010

For the second year in a row, we have streamlined our AGM reports and done away with much of the paper that was produced (to what effect we were uncertain). This venue allows us to post many of our reports, making them accessible for people who are here for our March 6 meeting and for our “snowbirds” who may read the reports from much warmer places. We will leave the reports up for a year at which time they will be replaced by the next year’s reports.

An Annual Meeting is many things. It’s a time of celebration as we review what God has allowed us to accomplish in the past 12 months. It is an opportunity for people to learn what is going on in areas of ministry that they are not normally involved. Additionally it encourages accountability, providing time for questions and answers. The AGM is also strategic in the sense of casting vision. We will spend time talking about where God is leading us as we move into a new year filled with many opportunities. We will elect deacons who will help us accomplish these new goals. These reports will give you a sense of all this but nothing will substitute for the benefit of being at the meeting. Therefore, I want to encourage both adherents and members to attend our March 6, 2011 AGM. The dinner is at 5 pm and we will begin our session at 6:30 pm.

Beyond these reports, financial reports will be made available to any member who requests them. We will also have these reports accessible at the AGM for review. In the bulletin, two Sunday mornings prior to the meeting, we will publish an agenda, slate of deacon nominations and the full membership list. Should something need to be added to the agenda or corrections need to be made to the membership list, that will give us time to do that.
