Guatemala Team

We have a team of 28 people; 5 leaders, 23 teens... 3 from Langely.

They have ALL worked hard and are healthy... no scorpion or snake bites. We are in a secure compound with a 10ft wall with barb wire on top. It feels like we are in a war zone BUT we aren't. In saying that, walls are built because the culture believes that what is yours is also mine...

We took the team to the beach yesterday to get some deserved relaxation and rest. It was a great time connecting with the team under the HOT equator sun. Since we have been here, the team has built a 28ft walking bridge over a 15ft ditch (that is full during the rainy months) and paid for the materials, helped establish a well system, painted a Bible College building, dug A LOT of ditches (as ALL the work in Guatemala is manual)... and has presented half a dozen dramas, over 10 testimonies, 5 services in churches, prisions, schools, and in the streets with NO complaining... that is a GOD thing.

We have encountered the Holy Spirit during our debreif times... it is SO encouaging seeing our teens walk in the Holy Spirit! There is nothing that can beat that! We are seeking Gods ways in how to transition well into Canada... we are waiting on HIS guidance.
